Beginner Python with Mini-games Online
Learn to program simply Python games that can be played directly on your command line/terminal. This workshop is online via Zoom.
Before you join our workshop please ensure that Python3 is installed on your computer.
Steps to Install Python on MacOS:
- Go to python.org to find the latest release of Python (Python 3.10 as of writing this outline)
- Click the “Downloads” tab and then click the “Download for Mac OSX” button
- Follow onscreen installation instructions
- To check the proper version of Python has been successfully installed, open the Terminal application and type “python3 --version”
- It should read “Python 3.10”
WARNING: Do not type “python --version,” as this will show the python version pre-installed on MacOS X, which is Python 2, not 3. If an error
occurs when typing “python3 --version,” this means you have not installed Python correctly. DO NOT USE PYTHON 2 FOR THIS WORKSHOP!
Steps to install Python on Windows:

Tips:
